Plain-English version: we earn a commission when you buy through our links, it costs you nothing extra, and it never changes what we recommend.
As an Amazon Associate, Plate & Rack earns from qualifying purchases. When you click a product link and buy on Amazon, we may receive a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same — the commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not your pocket.
How our links work
Buy buttons on this site route through a redirect at /go/ that adds our Amazon Associates tag and sends you to the product on Amazon. That redirect is how the commission is attributed to us. It carries no tracking beyond the affiliate tag, and it is marked noindex so search engines never crawl it.
Commissions never change our rankings
This is the important one. No brand pays us for placement, no manufacturer sends us free products, and no commission rate has ever moved a product up or down a list. That is why you will find a $50 cast-iron plate set ranked above a $400 one, and why we tell you when the cheaper option is the smarter buy even though the expensive one pays us more. Our ranking method is published in full, and our editorial policy spells out our independence.
Prices come live from Amazon
Every price you see is pulled from the Amazon Product API and stamped with the date we checked it. Prices and availability change constantly — the price shown here is accurate as of that date, but Amazon's price at checkout is the one that counts. When we can't verify a current price, we show none rather than a stale number.
Other retailers
Amazon is our default retailer. Some premium home-gym brands sell direct only and are not on Amazon; where we mention them, we say plainly whether a link earns us anything. We only build tracked links for programs we have actually joined — never for a program we haven't.
